Whereas most recorders come in 3 pieces with an adjustable thumb rest (which comes OFF), this model is a piece design and has a fixed thumb rest. It does not need putting together and does not require any adjustments to be made prior to playing. This can be very useful in the classroom where 30 or more Young players trying to put together their 3 piece recorders can waste precious lesson time. This is a soprano model in the key of C and as such is similar to the 205A Robin model. It also has the same curved wind way design which can really help with consistency of tone quality. Like most soprano recorder models The range is from C above middle C to the D octaves above, more experienced players are sometimes able to get higher still.
