Overall purpose of role: The Loan Operations Analyst/ Verifier is responsible to support the off shore processing of the U.S. balance sheet Loans Group by:
o Verifying Manual Payments for the offshore team.
o Conduct Daily/Monthly surveillance of the Loans offshore team.
o Process incoming trades, borrower drawdown's, route faxes/e-mails, clear cash and DI breaks, Verify in ACBS to include the Settlement Queue for others, fully manage a Small Complex Portfolio of accounts by providing corporate, institutional and individual clients with an exceptional level of professional service with respect to all covered product categories, in close co-operation with marketing, credit, and product areas of the Bank.
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
o Key specific accountabilities.
o Timely execution of requests from clients with respect to terms of agreed facilities, including draw downs, repayments, rollovers, wire transfers, treasury fundings, deposits, and investigations. Clients include deal participants and internal staff as appropriate.
o Ensure that fees, interest, and principal amortization are billed and collected and forwarded to participants/syndicate members as appropriate.
o Daily Creation/Review and reconciliation of control and exception reports. Ensure breaks are researched and resolved per agreed department standards. For unresolved items, provide detailed commentary and explanations for discrepancies including estimated time frames for resolution.
o For loan trades settling in secondary market (par & distressed) obtain closing documentation from closing team , review KYC approvals and funding memorandum, and settle position in ACBS settlement system for both purchases and sales. This may require establishment of new facilities and loan contracts in ACBS.
o Coordinate daily funding of loan bookings with money market treasury desk.
o Communicate with Various teams inside and outside of the Loans group to resolve Breaks and discrepancies highlighted in various reports published daily/weekly/Etc
o Maintain diaries and ticklers to ensure that all documents events (including compliance on Agency deals/Audit confirmations) not prompted in an automated manner are accomplished as scheduled.
o Provide comments to line officers as appropriate regarding client requests, deal activity, draft documentation as requested and act as a trouble-shooter for the relevant account officers in resolving problems with loan operation/administration.
o Verify the work of others in ACBS to include the settlement queue.
o Provide training to colleagues on function and systems.
o Understand and adhere to escalation policy as it relates to our risk and control environment.
o Primary systems: ACBS, MOC, WSO, ClearPar, GAOS, GBS, Monet
o Assist with adhoc projects and assignments.
Your Skills and Qualifications will include
o Basic Qualifications
o Bachelor's Degree
o 1 years of Bank Experience
o 3 Years in Microsoft Office Suite experience
Preferred Qualifications
o Team Player as well as ability to handle processes independently
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Experience with the ACBS Loan Processing Platform
