JPMorgan Chase & Co. has an opening for a Data Statistical Analyst position in Newark, Delaware. Perform data analysis, manipulation and data mining from multiple platforms, synthesizing the data, performing analysis, and interpreting results into meaningful business terms. Perform data analysis, manipulation and reporting, compiling various data sets required for exception reporting, operational reports and ad-hoc analyses using SAS, Python, SharePoint, VB, HTML, Perl. SQL programming, including DBArtisan, TOAD, PL/SQL, Teradata SQL Assistant, Business Object and Hyperion Brio; will also utilize Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, and Teradata on the job. Will be responsible for data mining, modeling and statistical methods, including Regression & predictive analysis non-parametic methods, cluster and outlier analysis, and decision-tree analysis, utilizing expertise in SAS, R. Will also utilize expertise in data visualization tools and techniques to create dashboards and metrics for senior management; tools utilized will include: Spotfile, Qlikview, Adobe Insight, Power Pivot, and MS-Office Suite. Create business friendly dashboards for stakeholders that identify issues, explain causes, details business/client impact, and build a business case and consensus for change. Use data visualization tools to create projections to assist senior management in strategic and operational decision making. Apply statistical packages to big data to identify pattern recognitions and behavior analysis for changing business patterns. Apply business intelligence techniques and act as liaison between technology and business in interpreting program code and translate business needs to programming and data modeling. Create central repository for data by mining and integrating data from CIG, EDW Online data mart, Workstation and Enterprise. Craft insightful metrics and dashboards related to the Private Banking client Experience to assist senior management in their decision making. Provide data support for Enterprise Release for the Online Client Experience team to efficiently manage their testing process and also build standard & systematic data capture use cases for future releases. Maintain the consistency of client data in Private Banking and to optimize, automate and standardize the reporting process and update the databases according to the changing business needs. Lead data projects from initiation through implementation for risk/regulatory initiatives. Lead data migration, validation and mining projects from initiation through implementation from legacy systems to current and emerging data driven systems. Position is not managerial level. No direct reports. Individual contributor level role only.
Specific Requirements
Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical or quantitative field of study; and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a business or data analysis or engineering-related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. Data analysis, manipulation and reporting Compiling various data sets required for exception reporting, operational reports and ad-hoc analyses using SAS, Python, SharePoint, VB, HTML, Perl;
2. Using SAS and R to perform data mining, modeling and to develop statistical methods including regression & predictive analysis non-parametric methods, cluster and outlier analysis, and decision-tree analysis;
3. Using data visualization tools, including but not limited to Spotfire, Qlikview, Adobe Insight, Power Pivot, MS-Office Suite, and deveoloping techniques to create dashboards and metrics for senior management;
4. SQL programming including DBArtisan, TOAD, PL/SQL, Teradata SQL Assistant, Business Objects and Hyperion Brio;
5. 1 year of experience using Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, and Teradata;
6. Project Management including resource allocation, budgeting, risk and change management using UML modeling for project design, MS-Project, and Visio; and
7. Leading data migration, validation and mining projects from initiation through implementation from legacy systems to current and emerging data driven systems. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
