As a Project Cost Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring cost/estimate development, reporting, forecasting and analysis for multiple projects within the pharmaceutical sector. You are responsible for ensuring accurate monthly reporting of current costs against budget, cash flow projections, change management reporting, contingency and risk maintenance to the Project Managers, Project Controls Manager, and client leadership. As Project Cost Engineer you are also accountable to ensure accuracy of cost projections, provide leadership and management of the change management process, reporting accurate work in place and providing contractor invoice review against budget/estimates. You must be proficient at being able to accurately ensure forecasts are in line with project plans and expectations and in communicating issues and potential solutions to senior management.
Responsibilities:
Provide the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the organization.
Develop project cost reports including the evaluation of actual and forecasted costs against budgets and detailed analysis supporting the same
Identify and tracks all changes or potential changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with the client and project management.
Integrate cost and schedule data and reporting with the company's accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company performance and financial goals.
Coordinate earned value analysis, audits, invoice / pay application reviews
Coordinate the development of Project estimates.
Identify and understands the basis of established budgets derived from the original work scope.
Assist with the preparation of estimated cost of variances for change management.
Assist with the performance of value-engineering analysis
Update internal standards for financial project cost controls and ensure contractor compliance with same.
Coordinate and procedural interface between Project Management and Procurement, PM and Finance
Skills:
Exceptional organizational and leadership skills are a must
Possess exemplary communication skills - both oral and written need to be very strong
Effective presentation skills to address groups of people large and small with all levels of personnel
Technical Requirements
Competency using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project

Educational and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor in Business and/or Finance or related discipline
Must have minimum of 8
years of project controls experience
Direct experience with construction and/or start-up within pharmaceutical sector is preferred

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
