Summary:
This position is responsible for leading an Engineering staff to provide daily Technical support for the manufacture of Medical disposable products. This position will additionally guide and direct the packaging and labeling engineering support function for existing products. Responsible to coach, develop, and provide direction for a group consisting of engineers, machinists, and technicians.
Job Details:
Associate is responsible to follow and direct the requirements of Quality System related to engineering and process control systems; including but not limited to: process controls, calibration and maintenance practices, document/data control, and change control practices.
Provide technical and managerial guidance to an Engineering group that is responsible for; maintaining production operations to achieve business goals and metrics; provide daily on-floor Engineering support and troubleshooting; and to ensure our production output meets or exceeds established Quality Standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop or refine production support systems. Systems may include preventative maintenance, reliability planning, Tech support, etc.
Provide managerial guidance and direction for the Machine Shop.
Provide managerial guidance and direction for the packaging and labeling support function.
Coach and develop employees to gain and/or refine skills to meet expanding business needs.
Coach and guide staff to execute structured approach to problem solving and troubleshooting production equipment and processes.
Provide the engineering discipline and leadership required to plan and implement projects; to develop, install, and qualify process improvements and manufacturing systems.
Provide direction, leadership, and training to engineers, machine designers, and technicians; monitor work schedules and expenditures of project team
Plan work schedules, expenditures, attend meetings, and prepare monthly reports are required
This position has a wide-range impact on product quality, company profitability, and capacity.

Position Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field is required. Advanced Degree (MS / PhD) is preferred.
Minimum 8 years' experience in a Medical Device manufacturing, and a minimum of 3 years managing Engineers and a technical staff is required.
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop a technical staff.
Demonstrated experience providing technical support and troubleshooting for automated, semi-auto, and manual production operations used to produce Medical products.
Experience in Lean, 5S, Six-Sigma, and the use of statistical evaluation tools is a plus.
Knowledge of GMP/FDA regulations is required.
Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Expertise in Computer Aided Design, especially Solidworks, is a plus.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Requires strong communications skills to understand and explain complex engineering problems to non-engineering personnel.
Thorough knowledge of equipment and tools in laboratory testing and inspection systems.
May be required to provide off-shift technical support.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
