Position Description:
We are seeking a certified Occupational Therapist for a Part-Time caseload in the Newark, DE, area.
Qualifications:
o Must be a licensed/certified Occupational Therapist in the state of Delaware.
o Must have excellent references.
o Must have current, up-to-date clearances.
o Must enjoy working with children.
o Preference given for those with experience working in academic settings.
Responsibilities:
o Consultation and collaboration.
o Evidence-based decision-making and accountability.
o Facilitating student access to curricular and extracurricular activities.
o Plan relevant instructional activities for ongoing implementation in classroom settings.
o Use assistive technology to support student success.
o Assist in development of and provide continued support in students' Individual Education Programs (IEP's).
o Reevaluate IEP's when necessary.
o Help identify long-term goals for appropriate post-school outcomes.
o Family-school collaboration services.
o Recognition and respect of diversity in development and learning.
o Research and program evaluations.
o Legal, ethical, and professional practices in compliance with federal and state mandates, as well as local policies concerning performance.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
