Overview:
BASIC PURPOSE
Prepare and administer Material Requirements Plan (MRP) to meet the requirements of forecast and orders as economically as possible aligned with the S&OP plan. Set the bulk and packaging monthly production plan and provide it to the Operations Manager for execution. Ensure sufficient raw materials, supplies, and finished goods are available to meet production schedule and provide leadership in execution of material movements. SAP subject matter expert and key resource building cross-functional SAP competence throughout the plant. Provide leadership in managing SAP master data, bill of materials for products, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement through process order analysis. Facilitate operational scheduling requirements and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are met safely and to a high quality standard. Coordinate with warehouses to develop shipping needs to meet production demand, with minimal overtime and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities:
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S)
Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with EHS policies and practices;
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are developed and followed for all operational processes;
Participate & lead direct reports & special projects in site safety programs
Model behaviors that demonstrate a commitment to FMCs EHS expectations;
Comply with external and internal requirements and regulations (FMC, OSHA, DNREC, etc.);
Follow good Process Safety Management Practices.
MRP Management
Work directly with Global MCC Planning Manager to develop feasible monthly supply plans and ensure commitment and alignment with plant.
Manage day-to-day supply issues to meet customer expectations. Interface directly with Customer Service as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
Communicate issues that impact customers in a timely manner.
Execute MRP process to the Gold Standard, ensuring supply of products to customers per 15-business day lead-time;
Issue production schedules for bulk and finished goods at least monthly to support the above goal. Ensure raw material & operating supplies (including packaging supplies) are sufficient to support demand plan.
Provide monthly production financial forecast with input from Finance and Operations Manager.
SAP Leadership
Liaison with site management to ensure a solid power user base exists at the site;
Manage SAP Master data for production items (non-stores) and optimizes/updates BOMs on an annual basis at a minimum.
Key site liaison with BIS team for issue escalation;
Orchestrate site business improvement activities in a way that utilizes SAP and other site systems and resources and maximizes integration.
Provide leadership to drive plant standards in Material Movement processes, as well as productivity improvements, safety, and employee development.
Manage organization of inventory in preparation for physical count
Lead the physical count of inventory, reconcile physical count to book inventory, and book adjustments with assistance from Finance Dept
Direct work for inventory accuracy, including oversight of receipt, consumption, and confirmation processes
Provide oversight of Shipping & Receiving.
Execution of Material Movements & Inventory Management
Process Orders and Supply Chain Support
Provide support in process order management, particular resolving variance issues and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements through detailed analysis of process orders;
Support the division in product line optimization by serving as liaison with Supply Chain to identify low volume and/or low value products that might be rationalized.
Provide oversight for Newark Samples Process
Quality
Manage and minimize inventory of not-immediately-usable inventory, including feed material, defective packaging, and slow-moving SKUs.
Ensure integrity of the quality system is maintained in all of the areas of focus
Ensure all activities within shift crews are carried out in a way that aligns and supports customer need for high quality and integrity of final product.
Administration/Financial
Communicate/report site performance to plan daily
Provide reports, at least monthly, of plant operational performance to plan and relevant inventory/process order reports.
Note: Position responsibilities are summarized and incumbent may be directed to perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in business, engineering, or science field required
APICS CPIM, preferred (APICS is a certification in Supply Chain roles)
Qualifications:
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Minimum three years experience in manufacturing operations required with pharmaceutical, specialty chemical or food additive plant experience highly preferred.
Good business acumen and analytical skills required;
Systems skills, especially related to business systems (SAP preferred);
Demonstrated ability or capability to lead and supervise employees and effectively interface with other operating departments in a team environment. Previous supervisory experience in a union environment highly preferred;
Ability to work well with people at all levels and possesses tact and diplomacy in interactions with others
Working knowledge of production operations and process changes

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
