Responsibilities: -Perform lab and industrial analyses using instruments such as GC, GC-MS, FTIR, ICP-MS, SEM
Design, build and operate experimental setups in accordance with Air Liquide safe practices
Perform applied R&D; to develop new analytical methods
Perform applied R&D; to evaluate new process analyzers
Transfer new methods/processes to business lines
Interface with business lines to understand immediate/strategic analytical needs
Communicate progress of various projects
Present results of completed projects
Meet or exceed Air Liquide America L.P. safety objectives
General Requirements: -Bachelor degree or above in Chemistry or related discipline
Experience in gas handling is preferred
Hands-on experience with multiple analytical techniques
Lab chemical, glassware handling
Ability to relate chemical principles to variety of gas applications
Ability to design and conduct experiments with certain supervision
Ability to multi-task
Must be flexible and be able to work independently or as part of a team
Computer skills, Microsoft Office applications, graphing applications required; understanding of LabView, AutoCAD and design of experiments (DOE) a plus
Must possess strong communication skills, verbal and written
Must be willing to occasionally travel off-site for field analysis
Must have good awareness of safety
