The Senior Systems Analyst of the Portfolio Reporting team will be responsible to oversee, coordinate and drive specific projects within the designated business area to deliver analysis in support the Legal Team in answering requests from Regulatory Agencies and to provide insight into the performance of our existing products/strategies across all loan-servicing platforms. This position is responsible for developing stable, consistent, and efficient data flow, storage and output of the analysis. The incumbent will be responsible for defining requirements, performing analysis and explaining results to executive management and external stakeholders. They must be able to work closely with business groups, vendors and lead/coordinate the work of other technical team members.
This resource will provide systems support to executive management through data extraction and analysis. The Senior Systems Analyst will coordinate with the Director of Portfolio Reporting to identify needs through user requirements, create technical design approach/detail documents and develop the solutions required.
This individual will be responsible for developing end to end solutions that require taking a general idea and defining requirements accounting for ambiguity and/or logic gaps. Each step must be thoroughly documented and approved in accordance with the business, compliance and legal guidelines. The incumbent will provide mentoring and cross-training to team members. This individual will be required to present results to senior executive managers.

This is a hands-on position that requires technical development and participation in all aspects of the development and deployment of projects
Lead weekly progress update calls for time sensitive and/or critical deliverables
Analyze, document, communicate and validate client requirements for projects
Participate in requirements gathering and review meetings with internal and external stakeholders as required
Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries
Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency
Requirements
Minimum 5 years business analysis experience preferably in the financial services and/or student loan industry
5 years of SQL or SAS development experience
3
years of experience partnering with business owners to define and translate needs into business requirements
3
years of business process and workflow experience
Proven ability to analyze large amount of raw data to identify trends within the data that could be used to define and drive strategies and segmentations
Proven ability to proactively identify opportunities based of his/her analytical insight
Proven ability to present technical findings in a user-friendly, clear, and concise manner to ensure understanding by all parties
Capability of setting direction and motivating team members inside and outside the direct reporting line
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including SSIS and SSRS
Visual Basic programming skills
Strong ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical customers
Flexible schedule to meet the demands of executive management
Ability to travel
