Description: Progress Program Manager needed for major Financial Services firm. The ideal candidate will have a background, either hands-on or as a lead, of completing the design, analysis, developing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programming to satisfy business requirements. This is a Program Manager role that requires significant years experience with Progress 4GL.
Candidates will only be accepted on a W2 basis and those that are willing to convert to Full-Time are highly preferred.
Description:
The Progress Program Manager will be responsible to lead a teamthrough the planning, architecture, design, analysis, development, testing,debugging and documentation of large, complex projects to satisfy businessrequirements. Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and securitypolicies, leading presentations in architecture review, strategic technologydirections, best practice development (e.g., estimating models), mentoring lessexperienced team members, code reviews.
Responsibilities Include:
Understand/apply reusable codedesign, leverage application architecture/framework capabilities andfunctionality, and design/develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable,and perform to meet business-defined service levels.
Work with Product owners to helpshape the direction of the product based on a combined knowledge of what''stechnically feasible and what is desired by the end user.
Contribute to the technical codeand design documentation.
Conduct code reviews and ensuringquality solutions are built and tested.
Identify and implement improvementsto products.
Provide production support andissue triage for products

years of experience insoftware development

years of Application DevelopmentLeadership experience
5
years of hands-on Progress 4GLexperience with versions 9.x - 10.x
Thorough knowledge of Progressand SQL architectures
5
years of experience inperformance tuning of applications developed using Progress 4GL.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
