Job Description:
As an Applications Support Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation.
Key Responsibilities:
Root cause analysis, management communication and client relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Service Support team members
Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with lifecycle methodology and risk guidelines
At these grades, the role should include as its primary duty either:
1. The exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
2. Design work (Design means a tailored design in order to meet a specific client request) or
3. Programming (Programming means writing original programs using
code that is intended for use on a wide scale basis.)
## Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related technical or business area
Minimum 2+ years of applications production support/application development work experience
Preferred Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self confident, self directed, and ability to work with various levels of staff and management
Excellent time management skills
Ability to remain calm, work in a fast paced, at times pressured environment, and balance competing priorities
Skilled in problem solving and analytical reasoning
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, agile environment
Strong analytical skills and an eagerness to learn new technologies

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
