This Research Scientist is a key contributor in our client's Distribution, Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department. As the Principal Investigator, incumbent will fill the role of Technical Leader, and be responsible for completing portions of/entire, projects, and providing quality and timely results, as well as collaborating and communicating with Clients, company management, and external resources.
Essential Functions:
Independently understand, recognize and initiate/prepare draft/final study protocols and SOPs
Develop new LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods, troubleshoot analytical issues, analyze results, contribute to developing leading edge LC MS/MS methodologies and techniques for bioanalytical assays, and develop, validate and run sensitive, reliable and efficient LC-MS/MS assays for in vivo and in vitro ADME assessment.
Simultaneously handle method development and validation, as well as routine projects
Perform high-volume sample analysis and/or data analysis, data QC, data summaries, and data interpretation.
Evaluate significance of data and report findings.
Lead team in method development and validation.
Supervise, train and/or mentor junior scientists.
Prepare materials for presentations and publications.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional laboratory environment, where exposure to hazardous materials/chemicals, extreme cold (freezers), and conditions is probable. Personal protective equipment will be provided and required. Laboratory instruments/equipment used may include: Pippetes, Tomtec. LC/MS/MS plus office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
The roles is non-sedentary (employee required to stand/walk more than 50% of the day), and the employee is occasionally required to traverse to other floors, offices, or sites to interreact with collages or visitors, as well as bend, stoop, or reach to access filing and storage cabinets

Education / Experience
PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related scientific discipline will be considered as follows:
Proven ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with members of a team and/or professional committee
Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated proficient experience with/in:
LC-MS/MS bioanalysis of drug/metabolite in supporting drug development (preferred)
familiarity with LIMS and databases
extraction techniques (PPE, SPE, LLE) to isolate compounds from biological matrices
Ability to collect and organize data, identify unexpected results and recognize problems/solutions,
and understanding of biohazards and safety requirements
Understanding of experimental design and planning associated with assigned area, as well as data
collection and analysis software.
Demonstrated supervisory and managerial ability.
Demonstrated knowledge of GLP regulations.
Proven ability to successfully work in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Job Type: Full-timeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
