SDIX is looking for a Biotechnician I or Biotechnician II, Full Time, to join our team in Newark, DE.
This position is in our Technical Development team.
Job
Summary:
Technical Development is responsible for troubleshooting production issues, developing process improvement solutions for production, and manufacturing immunoaffinity resins for the production groups.
The technician is also responsible for maintaining the work area in proper working order by keeping the area organized, perform routine maintenance of equipment, managing reagents and chemicals, and keeping general laboratory hygiene.
Verify and ensure that proper processes and procedures are followed in accordance with SOPs.
Support manufacturing aspects of SDIX's products by executing protocols, utilizing basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, laboratory equipment and computer software.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Biotechnician I o Perform a variety of laboratory techniques.
o Maintain accurate and current documentation using various SOPs in a GMP environment.
o Communicate results both verbally and in writing with peers and supervisors.
o Maintain and organize laboratory areas.
Order supplies as required to maintain efficient workflow.
o Perform additional job duties necessary within laboratory/manufacturing areas as assigned.
Biotechnician IIIn addition to the responsibilities of a Biotechnician I:
o Oversees calibrations and preventive maintenance for lab instruments.
o Recognizes variances in processes, procedures, and results and takes initiative to resolve them.
o Writes and edits SOPs.
o Provides input to process improvement.
o Works on moderately complex projects.
