We are seeking a Liquid Process Filter Product Manager to work in our plant to support the manufacturing of our filtration products.
Summary:
The Liquid Process Filter Product Manager plays a crucial role in driving the success and growth of the liquid process filter business, ensuring the products meet customer needs, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
This role will report to the GM of Filtration & Separation business.
Essential Functions:
Product Strategy Development:
Formulate and execute a product strategy aligned with the business objectives, market demands, and customer needs.
This involves identifying target markets, defining the product roadmap, and setting priorities for product development and enhancements.
Market Analysis:
Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer requirements, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Gather insights through customer feedback, industry reports, and market data to inform product decisions and strategies.
Product Development and Management:
Oversee the end-to-end product development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, and manufacturing.
Define product requirements, coordinate prototyping and testing, and manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond.
Pricing and Revenue Management:
Work closely with sales and finance teams to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
Analyze cost structures, market dynamics, and customer value to determine optimal pricing models and pricing adjustments.
Product Road mapping:
Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the planned product releases, enhancements, and updates.
Prioritize features and functionalities based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business goals to ensure timely and impactful product delivery.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and nurture relationships with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Act as a product expert, providing support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with various departments including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure smooth product development, launch, and ongoing support.
Foster effective communication, coordination, and alignment across teams.
Sales Enablement:
Provide sales teams with the necessary product knowledge, training materials, and resources to effectively sell liquid process filter products.
Equip them with sales tools, product demonstrations, and competitive analysis to enhance their ability to communicate the value proposition.
Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and performance of the product portfolio.
Monitor sales data, market share, customer satisfaction, and other relevant metrics to track product performance and make data-driven decisions.
Continuous Improvement:
Continuously seek opportunities for product innovation, improvement, and optimization.
Gather customer feedback, monitor market trends, and stay updated on emerging technologies to drive ongoing product enhancements and maintain a competitive edge.
Risk and Compliance Management:
Ensure products comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and quality requirements.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the product portfolio, such as regulatory changes, competitive threats, or technological advancements.
Education and
Experience:
7-10 years minimum in the filtration industry.
Prior experience as a product manager preferred.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
History of data-driven decision-making.
Specific Skills/Competencies Required:
A solid understanding of business principles, including financial analysis, pricing strategies, and revenue management, is important for making informed product-related decisions and optimizing product profitability.
Strong knowledge and understanding of liquid process filtration systems and technologies is essential.
Demonstrated success working with geographically disparate teams.
Strong communication skills; oral and written.
Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft based products.
Ability to multitask.
Team and relationship oriented.
Ability to look at the big picture while maintaining attention to detail.
Instinct for creative problem solving.
