PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Assists experienced engineers in developing studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems.
Provides analytical support for consultation and recommendations to the Company within and to other business units and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities.
Collects and compiles financial data for budget and actual costs of projects.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Assists experienced engineers in performing well-defined engineering assignments exercising independent discretion; (eg Collect data, perform analysis, interpret results, & draw conclusions) (60%) Assists in the performance of complex engineering assignments.
(eg Analyze and interpret the results of power flows and perform electrical tests, and analyze non-specific and ambiguous results) (20%) Assists with technical consultation, plan developments and recommendations for customer and company systems and processes; (eg Verify and validate studies, blueprints, or designs against accepted engineering principles and practices) (10%) Evaluates effectiveness of current technical systems and processes.
Participates on teams; (eg Design high voltage transmission and distribution circuits, meeting all engineering standards and criteria) (10%) JOB SCOPE Provides technical assistance in support of others.
Applies technical knowledge to help promote a safe work environment and to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a technical field (non-engineer) (1) or equivalent relevant education / experience (See Section Below) (2) AND zero to 3 years field experience in engineering, construction, or applicable utility experience (1) Examples of technical fields (non-engineer) include Engineering Technology, Electronics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, etc.
(2) Relevant education / experience is knowledge and skills that may be acquired through job experiences or education programs related to those acquired through a formal technical degree program.
Examples include experience gained in a military role applicable to electric power distribution, completion of a journey-level electrician program (eg, overhead / underground electrician, electrical mechanic), or completion of a company-sponsored technical education program (eg, Elements of Electrical Engineering (E3) series).
The equivalent relevant education / experience is in addition to the position's minimum experience requirements.
Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
Limited knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service.
Equivalent Relevant Education /
Experience:
Associate's degree in a technical field (1) AND 2 or more years of field experience in engineering, construction or applicable utility experience Equivalent Relevant Education /
Experience:
Non-degreed or non-technical degree, equivalent relevant education (2) AND 2 or more years relevant utility experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS This role will utilize prior experience with real-time information management and control systems, specifically database and display maintenance to accomplish the duties of the role as well as add value to the company/department.
Ideally being familiar with ICCP and DNMP protocols and mapping of Remote Terminal Units (RTU) and/or Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED) will be key to being successful candidate.
Also experience with GE XA21 or OSI Monarch SCADA systems a plus to better impact the departments success with the operational systems/programs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
